Mr Ed Coats, MBBS BSc (Hons) MRCOG MD LLM, is the Medical Director at The Evewell, West London.
Having worked in the NHS for 15 years, Ed trained as a specialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery in Nottingham and completed his MD at the University of Nottingham, before holding the position of Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist at The Royal United Hospital in Bath, and then Medical Director at The Fertility Partnership in Oxford.
Ed strongly believes in the importance of a holistic, individualised approach when it comes to creating evidence-based treatment plans. He will take the time to consider the entire reproductive system, and personal circumstances, before ensuring his patients understand the entire process from end to end, leaving them feeling both confident and empowered.
A highly experienced fertility consultant, hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgeon, Ed is a member of the British Fertility Society, The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and the British Menopause Society.
His specialist interests include: general infertility, reproductive endocrinology and menopause.
Alongside his clinical work, Ed has led a number of fertility education initiatives, including The Total Fertility podcast as well as featuring on several TV documentaries for the BBC and Channel 4, and trekking to both the North and South Poles.
