Dr. Babbur Vijayalakshmi is a Fertility Consultant and Gynaecologist at The Evewell Harley Street. With over 20 years of experience in obstetrics, gynaecology, and fertility, Babbur is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalised, patient-centred treatment tailored to each individual’s needs.
Babbur trained at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and Bourn Hall – the birthplace of IVF – in Cambridge, where she witnessed firsthand the advancements in assisted reproductive technology.
She prioritises early conversations with patients to ensure they understand all available options, empowering them to take control of their fertility journey, so they can make informed decisions about their reproductive health and fertility preservation. She also advocates for male fertility awareness, low AMH treatment strategies, PGT-A, and ensuring inclusive and supportive care for LGBTQ+ individuals.
She finds fertility work deeply rewarding, particularly when supporting patients who have lost hope. Helping people achieve their dream of having a family is what drives her, and she is passionate about ensuring patients have access to the right information at the right time.
Dr. Vijayalakshmi holds an RCOG membership, an RCR/MRCOG diploma in Advanced Obstetric Ultrasound, and a European Diploma in Gynaecological Endoscopy. She has also contributed to medical journals and presented at international conferences.
