Dr Ahmed Elgheriany is a highly experienced consultant gynaecologist and fertility specialist, with extensive experience in all aspects of reproductive medicine, and advanced gynaecological surgery.
With a specialised interest in patients experiencing recurrent IVF failure, recurrent implantation failure, endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS and fertility preservation, Ahmed uses evidence-based care and personalised treatment plans to optimise results.
Ahmed completed his undergraduate training in Egypt, then moved on to work as a specialist in numerous prestigious hospitals in Egypt and Kuwait, before joining Alexandria IVF centre in Egypt as Medical Director, and then moving to the UK as a speciality doctor at the Royal Bolton NHS Hospital in 2021.
When asked what motivates and drives him to help his patients achieve their dreams, Ahmed replied… “There isn’t a one size fits all approach to fertility treatment. I strongly believe that to get to the root cause and reason why a woman or couple is not able to conceive or achieve a successful pregnancy, you have to consider the entire body, well-being and lifestyle, before committing to treatment.”
Ahmed has published many research papers on subjects such as OHSS, recurrent implantation failure, uterine microbiomes and endometriosis, and often presents at international conferences.
Ahmed is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and holds a Master’s Degree in Biotechnology of Human Reproduction and Embryology from Valencia University, Spain, as well as the Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopic Diploma from Auvergne University, France.
Ahmed speaks Arabic and English.
