Millie Kanani is the Lab Manager at The Evewell Harley Street, where she fosters an environment for her team to explore innovative approaches to IVF and reproductive treatment.
Millie’s dedication to excellence is underscored by her educational background, including a BSc in Biomedical Science, an MSc in Developmental and Reproductive Biology and an MSc in Clinical Science: Cellular Science. She is also a state-registered Clinical Scientist with the HCPC, having completed the Scientific Training Programme (STP) and RCPath Part 1.
Beyond her technical expertise, Millie is passionate about training the next generation of embryologists. As the Training Officer at both The Evewell Harley Street and West London clinics, she is deeply involved in nurturing new talent.
“A lot of the training of embryologists focuses on science, rightly so, but we also need to ensure that every person within our lab team is understanding, empathetic, and can communicate with open, honest language. Ultimately, we have the power to give patients a deeper level of scientific understanding which hopefully means that when they come for treatment, they feel in the know, and less anxious about what is to come.”
Millie is currently pursuing the Higher Specialist Scientist Training programme in Reproductive Science, aiming to achieve Consultant Clinical Scientist status.
Millie’s research, conducted in collaboration with Hertility Health and The Francis Crick Institute, focuses on understanding follicle and egg quality. At The Evewell, she is committed to ensuring our patients are informed, supported, and empowered throughout their treatment journey.
